did the gays really turn our backs on lil nas x for nle choppa?

NLE Choppa is the hottest topic in the forests right now.
he’s the new wolf everyone’s got their hard on,
and with tracks like “slut me out 2”,
can you blame us?
i came across this tweet about the gays turning their backs on lil nas x for nle choppa…

…and while the response is spot on,
i’ve got a few thoughts…
1) It’s not that the gays turned their backs on Lil Nas X; it’s just that his antics rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.
There’s definitely a line,
and instead of dancing on it,
he went ahead and crossed it way past the levels of “doing too much”.
Don’t get me wrong,
I love ruffling fur,
but this was a little too nuclear:
That’s where he lost a chunk of folks tbh.
2) Let’s keep it 110:
The gays are into Nle Choppa because he gives off that “i’m straight, but maybe bi” vibe.
Once he rolls up with a vixen on his arm,
you know they’re gonna feel played and act like they’ve been lied to.
3) Can we talk about LNX’s latest music?
It just hasn’t been hitting the same since his debut album.
He might wanna take Azealia Banks advice and do a 90s house album.
He’s got the voice for it and it’d probably resonate way better than his “doing too much” antics.
4) LNX has cut his hair,
stripped away all the extra nonsense,
and is back to looking regular.

That previous era was just too unrelatable.
Many gay men want to see the average and relatable gays on their screens.
We love the drama but I think it becomes too much after a while.
nle choppa is just a moment.
i’m sure he’ll be back to rapping about ultra-masculine violence and toxic masculinity in his next era.
i think LNX will try something different with in his upcoming era:

lowkey: sam smith also lost a lot of us with their recent “doing too much”.
i can see them winding it down too.
i think they did for this re-release of their first album.
i loved loved loved his first and second albums.
